In addition to the launch of the R&S FPL1044 spectrum analyzer, Rohde & Schwarz is expanding its mid-range instrument portfolio with a new 40 MHz real-time spectrum analysis (RTSA) option for the entire FPL series. The R&S FPL1044 is the industry’s first product to offer high frequencies up to 44 GHz at a price point previously unattainable on the market. The RTSA option, meanwhile, is available for all models, enabling FPL users to take advantage of high-performance real-time analysis capabilities.
The new Rohde & Schwarz R&S FPL1044 offers a frequency range from 10 Hz to 44 GHz. It is the first spectrum analyzer on the market in this price range and the only one to reach the 44 GHz milestone, significantly lowering the purchasing barrier for high-frequency testing.
The FPL1044 stands out among the other FPL series models as the only one with a DC coupling option, enabling a wide frequency range starting from as low as 10 Hz. This allows for maximum versatility in signal analysis, from very low frequencies to the all-important Ka band. The FPL1044 also inherits the FPL series’ compact size, lightweight, and rugged design, ensuring excellent portability and efficient use of workspace. Furthermore, the standard 2.92 mm male input connector ensures reliable measurements at high frequencies.

Releasing alongside the R&S FPL1044 is the R&S FPL1-K41R 40 MHz realtime spectrum analysis option. This upgrade option is compatible with all frequency models of the FPL series, providing users of all models with the ability to capture and analyze even the shortest events with a probability of intercept (POI) as short as 4.2 µs.
This capability, especially in the new R&S FPL1044, enables 40 MHz realtime frequency analysis up to 44 GHz, making it a comprehensive and affordable solution for challenging high-frequency signal monitoring and component testing.
