Vector Informatik has bought the RocqStat software and the team behind it from StatInf. This move gives Vector more strength in timing analysis and worst-case execution time estimation. It comes as more companies need reliable ways to verify software in safety-critical systems.
The StatInf team has deep experience in this area. Vector plans to use that know-how to improve its verification workflows and advanced analysis techniques inside its code testing tools. Current RocqStat customers will keep getting support as before.
In the medium term, Vector wants to bring RocqStat into the VectorCAST tool chain. That will let users handle timing analysis, WCET estimation, software testing, and verification all in one place.
