Hitachi Solutions, Ltd. will begin offering “Circular Test Automation Software (Application Lifecycle Management Tool Integrated Version)” on January 15th, which will be integrated with PTC’s ALM tool Codebeamer® to improve the efficiency of in-vehicle software development for SDV.
As SDV advances, data fragmentation in automotive software development, caused by separate management of test cycle and development process data, presents a challenge to ensuring quality and efficiency. This integrated version connects cyclical test automation software with Codebeamer and automatically reflects simulation test verification results in Codebeamer, eliminating data fragmentation and ensuring traceability of data from test specifications to results. Utilizing past verification results and monitoring progress and problem occurrences in real time enables both early detection of quality defects and improved development efficiency.
Hitachi Solutions will expand its support for the development process for SDVs, helping to create a safer and more comfortable harmony between people and their vehicles.

The spread of autonomous driving, electric vehicles, connected cars, and other technologies is accelerating the shift to SDVs, and in-vehicle software is becoming larger and more complex. Model-based development, which allows for the early detection and correction of design defects in upstream processes, is a mainstream methodology essential for ensuring the efficiency, flexibility, and quality of in-vehicle software development in preparation for SDVs. In particular, as the frequency of changes to in-vehicle software increases and the amount of testing increases, attention is being paid to test cycle automation as a way to reduce labor hours and ensure quality. However, while automation is progressing, the management of deliverables such as the vast number of test scenarios, results, and evidence remains cumbersome and manual. Furthermore, data in the test cycle is fragmented by tool, posing a challenge in ensuring traceability to strengthen quality control.
In 2025, Hitachi Solutions developed software that automates the test cycle and centrally manages test scenarios and results, thereby improving the efficiency of testing operations.
Now, by linking our “Circular Test Automation Software” with ALM tools, we have developed a new “Application Lifecycle Management Tool Linkage Edition” that can seamlessly integrate data between the test cycle and development process. This allows test results to be immediately reflected in the development process, strengthening traceability of requirements, design, implementation, and testing, providing a new development platform that simultaneously ensures quality and optimizes development efficiency.
