Hitachi announced that it will start offering a new report in its marketing service ‘Station Finder for Area Marketing.’ The report is called ‘Station Chart Event Report’ and it uses data from JR East stations. It shows how many people are at a station during a specific event or sales period. Unlike the old monthly reports, this one can give data in daily or 30-minute chunks. Users can look at one day, a few days, or a period over several months.
This means retailers can see how many people pass through stations during sales. Event organizers and local governments can compare how busy tourist spots are on normal days versus during events. You can pick a single station or a group of stations around an event. It is of great assistance to the event organizers in their planning and preparation for future events.
