note inc. has locked in a capital and business alliance with NAVER, the big internet player out of South Korea, and NAVER is putting in 2 billion yen. The whole idea is to build a creator ecosystem that actually works in a generative AI world. Something that lets creators reach fans anywhere and keeps their creative work sustainable instead of turning into a hit or miss grind.
The partnership sits on a few clear tracks.
First, both companies will work together on generative AI and new tech that can push creative work forward. They want to combine their AI strengths to upgrade how content gets discovered, made, and distributed and basically make creators’ workflows smoother.
Second, they are looking at connecting their platforms. Cross distributing content and IP, pushing it into global markets, and building ways for creators and fans to stay more tightly connected. The goal is to expand what user generated content can look like when both ecosystems are linked.

Third, there is the IP angle. NAVER has a strong global content engine thanks to WEBTOON, which sends vertical webcomics to audiences in more than 150 countries and often spins them out into animation, films, and live action. note and its subsidiary Tales and Co. will pair that with their creator support network and NAVER Group assets like LINE Manga to find and grow new creators and new works. Their first joint project is set for early 2026.
And finally, both companies will look at strategic investments together. They want to use their networks and experience to widen their business footprint and compete more strongly at a global level.
