Hitachi Systems, Ltd. announced on the 22nd that it has launched the “Sales Assistant AI” AI package, a second offering in its Assistant AI Service. This service combines the company’s accumulated business knowledge with generative AI to automate industry-specific tasks and contribute to improving the productivity of frontline workers. The Assistant AI Service combines generative AI with the business knowledge Hitachi Systems has accumulated through solving problems for various companies and organizations, primarily in the public and social infrastructure, finance, and industry/distribution industries, to automate industry-specific tasks and contribute to improving the productivity of frontline workers.
Following the first offering, “Assistant AI for Manufacturing,” the company is now launching the second offering, “Sales Assistant AI,” which utilizes Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service and implements Hitachi Systems’ generative AI use cases. The service uses AI to analyze product information data posted on a company’s external website and data on expression guidelines, such as the company’s glossary, which is used as a reference when creating catalogs and proposal materials, to help streamline sales processes and improve the quality of sales activities. Specifically, the system is equipped with functions to help streamline sales-related tasks, such as creating catalogs and sales materials, and creating scripts for emails and telemarketing. It also has a function that uses AI to suggest products tailored to end-user needs. This will help improve the efficiency and quality of the sales activities of user companies, helping to expand their sales.

During development, an internal demonstration experiment was conducted with Hitachi Systems‘ sales representatives, and it was confirmed that the system reduced work time by 50% per month in the review work involved in creating sales content and in creating talk scripts for telemarketing. Based on the results of this internal demonstration experiment, the system has now been commercialized as a service that combines Hitachi Systems’ domain knowledge of sales tasks with AI.
