Hitachi Solutions, Ltd. has implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 at Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a global company engaged in businesses such as pharmaceuticals, skincare, and regenerative medicine. Centered around a two-tiered ERP system that aggregates accounting and supply chain data from 30 major overseas group companies, the company has built a business infrastructure that visualizes global management information.
Rohto Pharmaceutical used the existing ERP systems of each group company as Tier 1 (first layer), and built a new Tier 2 (second layer) ERP system on top of that using Dynamics 365. This system eliminated system silos while minimizing the impact on the operation of the existing ERP systems that each company had implemented individually, and integrated the data of major overseas group companies.
In addition, by adopting “Fabric” as the BI reporting platform, the company has automated the processing and linking of data in different formats across group companies, and has realized a series of processes up to analysis on a single platform. It is expected that the time required for collecting and analyzing the data necessary for global management will be reduced by approximately two weeks compared to the previous method.

Hitachi Solutions will continue to contribute to corporate SX by supporting both the global expansion and DX of the manufacturing industry.
Rohto Pharmaceutical, which has group companies globally, used ERP systems implemented individually in each country as its business infrastructure, and it took a lot of time and effort to collect information from each group company and visualize the management situation of the entire group. In addition, in terms of global business management, unifying the master data and codes that were managed independently by each group company and strengthening governance were also challenges.
Therefore, with the aim of building an optimal business infrastructure from a management perspective for the entire group, the decision was made to introduce Dynamics 365, which was highly evaluated for its high compatibility with Excel, which is used in daily operations, and its ability to perform everything from data integration to analysis on the same platform.
