Mercedes-Benz cars can expect to benefit from some impressive advanced driver assistance, driving, and safety technology which is the result of a new partnership with NVIDIA.
The alliance will combine the expertise of Mercedes- Benz’s MB. OS operating system and engineering capabilities with NVIDIA’s Hyperion, Alpamayo Stack and Halos. The aim is to support new driving features and speed up the development of autonomous vehicles.
OS will work with NVIDIA Hyperion’s in-vehicle computing and sensor architecture to enable driving functions and over-the-air software updates. NVIDIA’s Alpamayo Stack will provide the software needed for autonomous driving, including AI reasoning capabilities. These systems will support driving assistance from start to destination across city roads, active safety features and automated parking.

Safety remains a key part of the partnership. NVIDIA Halos will strengthen Mercedes-Benz’s existing safety framework through an additional parallel safety stack designed to provide redundancy and safeguards. Together, these technologies will support the development of advanced driver assistance systems and future SAE Level 4 applications, including robotic limousines.
The partnership also extends beyond vehicle automation. Mercedes-Benz is using NVIDIA technology for engineering simulations and its MO360 digital production ecosystem. This includes virtual production planning and AI-based applications across manufacturing operations.
Both companies are working to improve efficiency, flexibility and quality throughout Mercedes-Benz’s global production network. The expanded partnership brings AI deeper into vehicle development and manufacturing, while laying the groundwork for more advanced autonomous driving capabilities.
