OKI Engineering, part of the OKI Group, will launch a chemical analysis service for semiconductor lines. This will happen with the new “Takasaki Lab” opening in Gunma Prefecture on July 4, 2025. The service meets the increasing demand for strict contamination control in semiconductor production. This need arises from the miniaturization and complexity of chips, especially with the growth of generative AI. The lab will check for tiny impurities in clean room air and chemicals. These factors can hurt semiconductor quality. They often get noticed only after production.

Many manufacturers can’t handle their own analysis. It’s often too expensive, so they choose to outsource. So, OEG wants to help by providing routine and emergency testing near semiconductor hubs in northern Kanto. The Takasaki Lab will analyze ionic and chemical impurities. They will also provide local support with direct consultations and sample delivery. OEG started by focusing on facilities in and around Takasaki City. Now, it plans to expand services to nearby prefectures like Nagano and Niigata. This will help improve quality control and operational stability in the semiconductor industry.
