SailPoint has launched Agentic Fabric, a platform designed to secure and govern the growing wave of non-human identities across enterprises, including AI agents, machine identities, and autonomous applications. The move comes as companies push AI deeper into operations without having proper visibility, ownership structures, or access controls around these systems.
The platform extends identity governance beyond employees and contractors by linking every AI agent to human administrators, data access paths, and enterprise systems. It combines discovery, governance, threat detection, and real time authorization controls inside a single framework. SailPoint says this helps organizations track what AI agents can access, who manages them, and whether permissions stay within least privilege policies.

The launch reflects a larger shift happening in enterprise security. As AI agents begin operating at machine speed across cloud environments, identity management is becoming less about people alone and more about governing autonomous systems before they turn into unmanaged security risks. The company also introduced new access packages and discovery tools aimed at reducing shadow AI exposure risks.
