Unison Systems Co., Ltd. has begun offering security solutions for broadcasting stations in collaboration with its subsidiary, PUERTO Co., Ltd., which specializes in network construction and security measures. Focusing on ransomware countermeasures, the Company will propose solutions tailored to the specific circumstances of each broadcasting station, and will also jointly showcase these solutions at the Company’s booth at “Inter BEE 2026,” which will be held from Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
In the broadcasting industry, with the increasing prevalence of online submission and delivery of program materials, integration with external systems, and remote access by maintenance vendors, cyberattacks using ransomware via VPN devices and remote connections are on the rise. Ransomware attacks cannot be reversed simply by paying the ransom; they often require investigation of the extent of the damage, elimination of the attackers, and in some cases, system reconstruction. Therefore, in addition to measures to “prevent intrusion,” measures to “prevent the spread of damage even if an intrusion occurs” are becoming increasingly important.
