SUPERNOVA has added a new Notebook feature to Stella AI for Biz, giving businesses a way to use their own documents and internal information when working with generative AI.
The feature lets users bring together PDFs, Word and Excel files, text, URLs, meeting minutes, and information from Google Drive, Microsoft SharePoint and Box. These materials can then be grouped into Notebooks, with up to 100 sources in each one.
The difference from Stella AI for Biz’s existing RAG feature is how the information is handled. Instead of searching for individual sections of documents, Notebook looks at the relevant document and its wider context before generating an answer. That can be useful when information is spread across different parts of a file or across several documents.

Users can also specify which Notebook the AI should use for a question, keeping the response tied to the selected sources. The feature is aimed at practical tasks such as checking company rules, reviewing meeting notes, searching project documents and finding past sales proposals.
SUPERNOVA said it is considering eventually ending the existing RAG function.
