Justin Baird FRSA has rejoined Google as Director of Delta JAPAC, the Google Cloud Consulting practice focused on AI innovation, transformation and engineering across Japan and Asia Pacific.
In the role, Baird will lead Delta JAPAC as enterprises across the region increasingly move from experimenting with artificial intelligence toward deploying AI systems in production. Google describes Delta as a multidisciplinary practice bringing together engineers, architects and AI strategists to support enterprise transformation.
Baird returns to Google with previous experience at the company spanning platforms and emerging technologies. During his earlier Google career, he worked on initiatives involving YouTube, Android and Geo across Asia Pacific. His broader career has included technology and innovation leadership roles at organizations including Accenture, Microsoft and DHL.
His new position comes as enterprises across JAPAC increasingly look beyond proof-of-concept AI projects. Google Cloud’s Delta practice is focused on helping organizations develop and deploy AI systems that can operate at scale, combining AI models with engineering, architecture and transformation expertise.

A key area of focus is agentic AI, where AI systems can perform tasks, coordinate processes and interact with other tools or systems with a greater degree of autonomy. Baird’s appointment comes as businesses evaluate how these technologies can be integrated into existing operations and enterprise technology environments.
The role also places emphasis on translating AI capabilities into practical business applications. According to Google’s current description of the Delta JAPAC organization, the practice works with enterprise customers on transformation programs while developing AI and innovation services for the region.
Baird’s return to Google marks a new chapter in his technology career and brings his experience across AI, engineering, innovation and enterprise transformation to the company’s growing focus on agentic AI across Japan and Asia Pacific.
