CARFAX Canada has introduced CARFAX Canada Sourcing, a tool that helps automotive dealers find and buy used vehicles more quickly. This data-driven platform lets dealers look at amounts of possible inventory from different places like wholesale lots, service lanes and customer trade-ins.
Of checking each vehicle identification number one by one dealers can use the tool to sort vehicles based on features such as model, condition and how much profit they might bring. This makes it easier to build a list of vehicles for their inventory without spending too much time on manual checks.
The launch comes at a time when Canadian dealers are still having trouble finding the used cars to sell. CARFAX Canada said that while inventory levels were rising in 2026 supply was still tight. That means being smart about where and how dealers acquire vehicles is more important than ever.

This move shows how much data analytics is changing the way car dealers operate. Today’s dealers depend on vehicle history reports, market trends, pricing information and profit estimates to make buying choices. Tools that gather and process amounts of vehicle data save time and help dealers find potential inventory from more sources.
The release also points to a change in the industry—dealerships are using technology more often to manage their stock better and adapt to shifts in the used-car market. Data is becoming central, to decisions helping businesses stay competitive and efficient.
