Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) has developed the “DNP Document Structured AI Chatbot,” which converts unstructured data such as PDFs into “AI-readable data” that can be read by AI, and utilizes it as a chatbot. The service will be available from September 26, 2025.
This service was developed by combining the proprietary DNP Document Structuring AI Service*1 with a platform for utilizing generative AI. Targeting a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, finance, and distribution, as well as government agencies and local governments, the service converts documents accumulated by individuals into a format that can be used by AI, enabling them to be shared within the organization. This promotes the reuse of knowledge throughout the organization, resulting in improved business efficiency and productivity.
In recent years, many companies and local governments have been promoting the use of generative AI as part of their digital transformation (DX). However, many internal documents have not been converted into a data format that AI can accurately understand and process. In particular, internal documents that are frequently referenced in business, such as proposals, reports, design documents, and business manuals, are often scattered across multiple servers and personal PCs, making them difficult to search and utilize. In addition, business risks due to the dependency of knowledge on individuals are becoming apparent.

To address these challenges, DNP has developed this service, which makes it easier to utilize internal knowledge using AI. Using proprietary technology, DNP has developed a specialized “DNP Document Structured AI Chatbot” that can understand the structure of documents and generate answers for unstructured data such as PDFs, which could not previously be read by AI, thereby supporting a virtuous cycle of knowledge accumulation and utilization.
