IIJ launches Multi-Profile SIM 2.0 with Dual-Carrier support

Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ) has announced the development of “Multi-Profile SIM 2.0,” a new SIM card that enables direct connection to both NTT Docomo and KDDI networks without relying on roaming. The innovation solves cost and reliability problems in IIJ’s original Multi-Profile SIM, launched in 2022. This SIM stored two communication profiles but needed roaming for one.
