Misora Connect Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that it is preparing to launch a new solution for businesses, a “Global Communication Service,” utilizing “SORACOM IoT SIM (Global Coverage)” provided by Soracom, Inc.
This service is a resale service that provides IoT communication for devices operating overseas at a fixed monthly fee in Japanese yen. It is available in over 180 countries and regions through two plans, “planX3” and “plan01s,” and can also be used within Japan.
Traditionally, providing IoT communication capabilities to devices operating overseas required individual contracts with local telecommunications carriers in each country and region. Not only were contracts separate for each country, but the prevailing pricing model was based on pay-as-you-go charges in US dollars. This resulted in monthly costs fluctuating due to both exchange rates and data usage, making budgeting difficult.

Misora Connect is developing and preparing a “Global Communication Service” as a service that fundamentally addresses this challenge. Contracts, procurement, and inquiries will be consolidated into a single point of contact within Japan, and the service will be offered on a fixed monthly fee in Japanese yen. Since we assume the risk of exchange rate fluctuations, customers can fix their annual communication costs at the time of contract.
