UB Secure Co., Ltd. will begin offering “Vulnerability Management Support for the AI Era,” which helps companies re-evaluate their vulnerability response priorities and focus on the areas that truly need protection, as the threat landscape changes dramatically with the spread of AI.
This service combines “consulting support” to define what needs to be protected together with the client, and “technical support” to translate those priorities into actionable operations, providing comprehensive support from policy formulation to daily operations.
What AI has changed is not the “amount of vulnerabilities,” but the “premise of priorities that need to be protected.”
Attackers are rapidly refining their attack methods using AI, and defenders are also accelerating their AI-driven development. As a result, the scope of what companies need to manage is expanding, and the time between the discovery of a vulnerability and its exploitation in an attack is shortening.

These changes are also reflected in the actions of regulatory authorities. In May 2026, the Financial Services Agency, in conjunction with the Bank of Japan, requested financial institutions to take short-term measures in light of the changing threats posed by frontier AI, and called for the review and strengthening of asset management, vulnerability management, and response systems under the involvement of senior management. This indicates that addressing vulnerabilities has shifted from being solely an issue for the IT department to one that management must address.
Many companies have already implemented and continue to use vulnerability management tools. However, the scope and priorities of these tools are often based on assumptions from before the widespread adoption of AI. We believe that the fundamental challenge we face today is not the increase in the number of vulnerabilities themselves, but rather the fact that the assumptions behind deciding “what to prioritize protecting” have not kept pace with the changing threat landscape.
We position this service as the starting point of a roadmap that encompasses everything from ransomware countermeasures to ensuring business continuity (resilience). Starting with a redesign of priorities, we will gradually expand our support to building a security system that will prevent business disruption even in times of emergency.
With the motto “Security for everyone,” we will continue to support our customers so that they can focus on what truly matters in the ever-changing threat landscape.
