Legal Tech Launches IP AI™ Project for Manufacturing

LegalTech Inc. began full-scale deployment of its IP AI™ platform, “AI IPGenius on IDX × MyTokkyo.Ai,” to be at the forefront of utilizing generative AI in intellectual property work. Through this initiative, the company aims to advance IP strategies and accelerate digital transformation (DX), which are urgently needed, particularly in the Japanese manufacturing industry.

IP AI™ is a next-generation platform that uses generative AI technology and RAG (Search Augmented and Generative) technology to provide innovative support for the multi-layered tasks essential to IP work, such as patent research, application support, infringement risk analysis, and technology strategy planning. This will enable significant improvements in efficiency and highly reproducible decision support for IP work, which was previously cumbersome and dependent on individual skills, and is expected to dramatically improve the intellectual asset utilization capabilities of corporate R&D and legal departments.

Of particular note are the industry-specific prompt templates and secure VDR (Virtual Data Room) compatible RAG search interface built into “AI IPGenius on IDX.” This allows for instant extraction of highly relevant information from vast amounts of technical documents, papers, and patent specifications, providing expert-level knowledge in real time in response to user questions. Furthermore, by linking with MyTokkyo.Ai, it also enables the centralization of patent management and application data for companies and individuals.
