UNFIELD LAB Co., Ltd. and Shachihata Co., Ltd. are working together to implement next-generation sensing technology in society.
Furthermore, we will enter into capital and business alliances to commercialize the project.
In conjunction with this partnership, we have conducted a third-party allocation of shares with Shachihata Co., Ltd. as the underwriter. Furthermore, we will work with Shachihata Engineering Co., Ltd., a Shachihata Group company, to build a system for mass production of next-generation sensing products.
In recent years, the environment surrounding power infrastructure has changed dramatically due to the rapid expansion of data center demand accompanying the spread of AI, the expansion of renewable energy introduction, the spread of battery storage systems (BESS), and the development of EV charging infrastructure. The use of high-voltage DC power is increasing in these facilities, and the demand for technologies that can detect abnormal currents and leakage currents early and with high accuracy is growing in order to ensure stable operation, improve safety, and increase efficiency of the facilities.

On the other hand, a challenge with conventional current sensors has been that the sensor’s baseline measurement value changes (offset) after a large current flows, affecting the accuracy of detecting minute abnormal currents and leakage currents. As equipment becomes larger and more powerful, there is a growing demand for sensing technology with higher reliability.
To address this challenge, UNFIELD LAB has developed “GAUSS CORE,” a unique core technology that eliminates the offset fluctuations that plague conventional current sensors. This technology enables the practical application of next-generation sensing technology that maintains stable measurement performance even in high-current environments while detecting minute abnormal currents and leakage currents.
Furthermore, GAUSS CORE can be applied not only to current sensing technology but also to high-sensitivity magnetic sensing technology, and is expected to be used in a wide range of fields, including power infrastructure, industrial equipment, infrastructure maintenance, and marine applications.
This partnership will accelerate the social implementation of technologies currently in the research and development stage by combining UNFIELD LAB’s unique sensing technology with the Shachihata Group’s quality assurance system, precision manufacturing technology, and mass production know-how.
In fields such as power monitoring and leakage detection, not only sensor performance but also a manufacturing system and quality assurance system that can maintain stable quality and performance over the long term are crucial. Both companies will leverage their respective strengths to expand into the social infrastructure sector, where high reliability is required.
Furthermore, Shachihata Engineering Co., Ltd. will partner as a manufacturing company, leveraging its long-cultivated precision machining technology, production technology, and quality assurance know-how to provide technical support and build a manufacturing system for mass production of next-generation sensing products utilizing UNFIELD LAB‘s technology. By collaborating from prototype development to mass production, we aim to bring high-quality and reliable products to market.
