JBCC and Hitachi Solutions East Japan will begin offering a new integrated service from August 7 that connects JBCC’s production management system, R-PiCS NX, with Hitachi Solutions East Japan’s production planning solution, scSQUARE ISP. The collaboration is kind of supposed to help manufacturers build more practical production plans, while also reducing the manual toil that comes with scheduling and constant adjustments, so it feels less heavy overall.
Manufacturers are always getting pushed to react to changing demand, tighter delivery timelines, and also more complex production demands that keep stacking up. At the very same time, a lot of factories still rely on experienced planners whose know how is hard to standardize, particularly in small and mid-sized companies. Put those things together and production planning ends up becoming one of the most stubborn operational bottlenecks.
The new integration links production planning data from R-PiCS NX to scSQUARE ISP through APIs, allowing work plans to be generated automatically instead of relying on spreadsheets and manual coordination. The system can assign jobs using equipment availability and production capacity, to distribute the workloads more evenly across those machines without too much fuss. It also shows production schedules in a Gantt chart, so planners can quickly check where the slow spots are bottlenecks, then fine tune the schedules, or respond to changes that pop up on the shop floor.

The service will be offered in two editions. The Scheduler version supports automatic scheduling and load balancing, while the Editor version allows planners to manually adjust production schedules when required.
JBCC and Hitachi Solutions East Japan will jointly market the integrated solution, with a customer seminar on the new service scheduled for September 16, 2026.
