Toboso and Mirai have signed a cooperation agreement to work on local community challenges, particularly in areas facing population decline and aging. The two companies will combine Toboso’s community mutual assistance platform with Mirai’s portal services for local governments to support people who struggle with shopping while creating more local work opportunities.
The partnership will focus on four areas. These include shopping support for elderly residents and others who have difficulty accessing stores, short-term job matching and talent return within communities, community projects with local governments and welfare providers, and models that connect mutual assistance with local economic development.
Under the planned model, residents could order groceries and daily necessities through a municipal portal. People already visiting nearby stores for work or shopping could then take short delivery jobs on their way home, earning income while helping others in the community.

Mirai will support Toboso with regional demonstrations, local government engagement, business strategy and joint proposals through its network. Toboso will bring together its ordering and delivery services, including toboso Order and toboso Job.
The companies also plan to combine these services with Mirai’s MachiPo portal, which brings administrative services, local information, points and other community functions into one platform. Joint proposals and regional demonstration projects will follow.
