Sakura Internet Inc. and Canon IT Solutions Inc. have formed a business partnership and developed the encryption erasure form “Cipher-X”. This service will be launched by Sakura Internet on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
The revised Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications guidelines in 2024 require local governments to further strengthen information security. This service is a web form provision service that allows local governments and other customers to safely and appropriately manage personal information that they temporarily collect when attracting people to events, etc., in a manner that complies with the data deletion standards described in the guidelines. Information obtained through this service is encrypted on the cloud, and the encrypted information is managed with an encryption key. In addition, when erasing information, a third-party certificate of proper data erasure can be issued by the Data Deletion Certification Council (ADEC).
The information registered in the form will be managed at a domestic data center operated by Sakura Internet, and the encryption keys used for encryption will be managed at Canon IT Solutions’ West Tokyo Data Center.
Going forward, Sakura Internet and Canon IT Solutions will continue to work together to support customers in improving business efficiency and promoting digital transformation, contributing to their continuous development.
