First Launch Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that its AI avatar customer service system “AICO” has been adopted for a demonstration experiment of a general information service within the Shimizu Ward Office in Shizuoka City, which will be conducted on the first floor starting August 10 , 2026.
This project is being implemented by the “Shizuoka AI Avatar Promotion Project,” which involves Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology, Shimizu Port Development Co., Ltd., First Launch Co., Ltd., and supporting companies makidai LLC, Aoharu LLC, and Kingsoft Co., Ltd., and is scheduled to run until the end of February 2027.

A kiosk terminal equipped with the AI avatar “AICO” and an autonomous reception/guidance robot “Lanky Mini,” also equipped with AICO, have been installed on the first floor of the Shimizu Ward Office. Nanami Hanon, a local VTuber whose image is based on Shimizu Port, will act as a guide as an AI avatar, providing initial guidance on counters and procedures within the ward office. “Lanky Mini” will be introduced with the cooperation of Kingsoft Co., Ltd., a business partner in our service robot business.
