Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has established the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Australia Perth Office in Perth, western Australia, as a sales base for decarbonization business within Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Australia (MHI-AUS, President: Kiyohito Fujie, Head Office: Sydney), MHI’s Australian base. The aim of the establishment is to secure a strong foothold in Perth, the economic center of western Australia and a major base for environmental conservation business, and to seek further business opportunities in the country’s energy policy and the creation of a sustainable society.
Western Australia’s economy is developing mainly around the mining and resource industries, with Perth playing an especially important role as the central city. In addition, infrastructure development in Perth is progressing thanks to the Western Australian government’s legal and policy support for hydrogen, ammonia and CCUS (Carbon dioxide Capture, Utilization and Storage), and business opportunities for decarbonization-related projects are expanding. In the future, through this branch, we will deepen our cooperative relationships with local partner companies and further enhance our services to local customers, thereby contributing to the realization of a decarbonized society in Australia.
