SB C&S Corporation announced that it has signed a distributor agreement with Equinix Japan Co., Ltd. and will begin handling the latest data center and colocation services. SB C&S explained that the increasing sophistication of GPUs and CPUs has led to increased power consumption, and the need to strengthen IT infrastructure, which represents the collection of all software, hardware, networks, and connection services that make up an organization’s IT environment, is growing. Equinix’s latest data centers support various liquid cooling methods, including the more efficient L2L (Liquid to Liquid) cooling method, which can efficiently cool heat using DLC (Direct Liquid Cooling). By introducing a CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit) that distributes and circulates the cooling liquid, the cooling liquid circulating inside the racks and floors can be efficiently heat-exchanged with the chiller water, achieving high cooling performance. They also explained that domestic data centers will achieve 100% renewable energy and create a sustainable digital transformation for companies. In terms of interconnection, network banking solutions such as “Equinix Fabric” will streamline connections to clouds around the world and seamlessly integrate multiple networks and cloud services. SB C&S explained that with this contract, in addition to software, hardware, networks, and connection services, they will begin handling the latest data center services, providing one-stop services in response to the growing demand for generative AI.
