Pleap Inc., developer of “medimo,” a medical support tool that uses AI to automatically generate medical record manuscripts from conversations between medical professionals and patients, is pleased to announce that it has closed a pre-series A round of funding totaling 150 million yen.
In addition to lead investor ANRI, this round also welcomed new participation from angel investors Hiromasa Umeda (co-founder of Medical Note Co., Ltd.), Tatsuya Suzuki (CEO of Gifty Co., Ltd.), and Boost Capital, led by Takao Ozawa, former president of Yahoo!. This brings the total amount raised to 177 million yen.
Since its launch in 2023, the product has been introduced to over 200 clinics and is used by many medical professionals. The company will use the funds raised to accelerate product development aimed at solving deeper medical issues, as well as to expand its introduction to medical facilities and strengthen its team structure.
