Beekle has signed a partnership agreement with Zilliz, the developer of the open-source vector database Milvus, to strengthen its AI search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) development services. Signed in October 2026, the agreement covers Zilliz Cloud and will provide Beekle with access to technical expertise and support from the platform’s developer.
The partnership brings together Beekles experience in building and running AI search, RAG systems and business applications in real-world settings with Zillizs strength in vector database technology. Together the companies want to make AI systems better and more dependable—from testing and proof-of-concept stages all the way to full-scale deployment.
One of the challenges companies face when using AI search and RAG systems is going from a successful demo to stable reliable operations in production. An AI system might work well during a test. Real deployment demands it to fetch accurate information, from internal documents cite trustworthy sources and keep performing well even as the amount of data grows.
Organizations must also address access permissions, data updates, security requirements, and search speed. Beekle has addressed these challenges through its previous development and operational projects. The partnership with Zilliz will add technical support from the developer of the underlying vector database.
Strengthening the Zero Start Service
The partnership will also strengthen Beekle’s Zero Start service, which it provides with Tech Beans, part of the D-POPS Group.
Zero Start gives companies a way to build and test the parts of a business app using their own data. They don’t have to pay any money upfront for development. Businesses can see if an AI idea works in life before deciding to go ahead with full development. Over 10 companies have already used this service.
For document search apps the testing process checks if the system can find the right documents. It also looks at whether the system can find where the answers came from. It checks if the system can spot when a question doesn’t have details.. It makes sure the system meets what employees need when they use it every day.
Before work starts both sides sign a -disclosure agreement. They also agree on the data what functions are needed and how long the test will last. If the idea doesn’t work out the project can stop at the demo stage. No fees are charged in that case.
Beekle says that paid development projects start at about ¥1 million for jobs. For projects that go from proof of concept to deployment the cost is usually between ¥3 million and ¥6 million. This is, before taxes. The real cost depends on how big the project’s how much integration is needed. Extra charges apply for using cloud services and APIs.
Three Areas of Improvement Through the Partnership
The collaboration is expected to strengthen three areas of Beekle’s services.
First, the companies will improve the design of search infrastructure by combining Beekle’s development experience with Zilliz’s technical knowledge. Search configurations can be evaluated according to data types, volumes, security requirements, and budgets, with production requirements considered from the initial testing stage.
Second, Beekle will be able to obtain technical reviews and support from Zilliz for relevant projects. This will allow the company to incorporate the database developer’s perspective into system design and operational planning. The specific scope and conditions of support will be determined separately for each project.

Third, Beekle will continue applying its internal AI development platform, PM on Rails, to customer projects. The platform automates activities such as requirements organization, specification development, AI-assisted coding, and progress management. Milvus is also used within this internal development environment, allowing Beekle to apply its practical experience to customer systems.
Zilliz develops Milvus, an open-source vector database used for AI search, RAG, and AI-agent applications. The company reports that more than 10,000 organizations have deployed its technology in production environments.
Its managed service, Zilliz Cloud, supports large-scale vector search involving billions of data records. The service is available across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure in its Tokyo region and also supports Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC), allowing organizations to retain data within their own cloud environments.
Beekle was established in February 2023 and provides contracted AI and digital transformation system development, requirements definition, software planning, and development services. Its work includes AI search, RAG, AI agents, and business systems.
Through the agreement, Beekle aims to strengthen the transition from AI experimentation to production deployment by combining its implementation experience with direct technical support from the developer of Milvus.
