Appirits Co., Ltd. has signed a business matching agreement with Tradeom Co., Ltd. to promote the adoption of stablecoin payments among Japanese businesses. The project brings together Appirits’ expertise in the operation of web services and e-commerce platforms and the cross-border payment service, Tradeom Payment, which is operated by tradeom.com.
The deal coincides with increased usage of stablecoin payments and remittances for global transactions and cross-border ecommerce. However, the native financial infrastructure of Japanese businesses remains primarily comprised of credit cards and bank transfers, limiting access to certain goods when consumers in other countries pay with different means. Stablecoins and cross-border compliance requirements have further created a barrier to adoption.
Tradeom Payment aims to reduce these challenges by allowing overseas customers to pay using stablecoins while businesses in Japan receive funds in Japanese yen. This removes the need for merchants to hold or manage stablecoins themselves. The service operates under transitional measures for cross-border payment collection services introduced through the revised Payment Services Act, effective June 1, 2026.

Under the agreement, Appirits will introduce Tradeom Payment to businesses within its customer network and facilitate merchant agreements between interested companies and Tradeom. These agreements will be signed directly between Tradeom and the participating businesses.
The partnership will initially focus on introducing the payment service to Appirits-supported companies. The two firms will also discuss potential technical cooperation, such as integration of Tradeom Payment with other e-commerce sites and web services that will be launched and operated by Appirits.
With this measure, the company hopes to offer more flexible payment options for Japanese companies, enhance the experience for foreign customers, and foster cross-border e-commerce.
