Zero System Co., Ltd. has developed a new system that integrates its in-hospital logistics management system “ZERO Supply” with “Medie Data,” the master data from Medie Co., Ltd.’s medical materials database “Medie,” and “Nextant,” a medical device MR compatibility search system. The system has been piloted at Aizawa Hospital , a social medical corporation foundation, since September 2026.
In healthcare institutions, when operating an in-house logistics system on the same in-house network as electronic medical records, it is not possible to connect to the external internet. As a result, it was not possible to directly access Webmedia, online medical material master data from various companies, and MR safety information provided via the internet from the logistics system. This led to the need to manually transcribe information obtained from other online environments into paper documents or the in-house system. This collaboration helps reduce transcription work by storing this information within ZERO Supply and making it accessible from the in-house network.
In medical institutions, when medical materials not registered in the hospital’s master data, such as those brought in by patients, are used, it becomes necessary to verify the product information after use and register it in the logistics system, electronic medical record system, and medical billing system. In particular, surgeries that use many materials have presented challenges such as omissions in paper records and data entry after use.

Furthermore, Webmedia, each company’s online medical supplies master data, and MR safety information must be accessed via the internet. On the other hand, the logistics system, which operates on the same in-hospital network as the electronic medical record system, cannot connect to the external internet. Therefore, personnel had to check the information in a separate online environment and transcribe it onto paper or into the in-hospital system.
Before an MRI scan, it is necessary to confirm the compatibility and usage conditions of any implanted devices such as pacemakers, stents, and orthopedic implants in the patient’s body. This may require time for interviews with the patient, inquiries to relevant medical institutions, and reviewing package inserts to determine the type and timing of implantation and whether an MRI scan is possible.
