Works Applications Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that Morinaga Milk Industry Co., Ltd. has begun sending and receiving digital invoices using the international standard “Peppol” in actual transactions with TKC Corporation, utilizing WAP’s “HUE Digital Invoice.” In this case, Morinaga Milk Industry received and stored the Peppol-format digital invoice issued by TKC through “Invoice Manager 2026” using “HUE Digital Invoice,” and is using it for subsequent accounting processing. This initiative demonstrates in actual transactions that even companies using different services can digitally connect everything from invoice issuance to receipt, storage, and business use through Peppol.

While the digitalization of invoices in business-to-business transactions is progressing, business operations that rely on paper or PDFs still persist. For large companies with numerous trading partners in particular, the differing services and data formats used for issuing and receiving invoices pose a challenge to the overall digitalization of their operations. To address this, Morinaga Milk Industry introduced “HUE Digital Invoice” in October 2024, aiming to digitize its invoice receiving process and streamline its accounting operations, and has begun receiving digital invoices via Peppol from some of its trading partners.
