Panasonic Electric Works (Panasonic EW) and Lynaf (Linough Inc.) have begun collaborating to expand the adoption of automatic door-lock access control systems in apartment buildings across Japan. The partnership integrates Panasonic EW’s Clouge and Clouge SQUARE apartment intercom systems with Lynaf’s Lynaf Connect, an access management service for delivery and other service providers. Proposals for the integrated solution began rolling out nationwide on October 9, 2026.
The integration lets authorized service staff unlock building entrances temporarily using a one-time password created through a web app. Only staff with verified identities can get access. Every entry is recorded to help maintain security and keep track of who comes in. Residents don’t need to open the door themselves—they can get deliveries, schedule pickups. Use other services without any hassle.
This solution tackles an issue that more apartment residents are facing. As online shopping grows delivery volumes go up. In buildings with locks missed deliveries mean more trips, higher costs and extra emissions from delivery vehicles.

By linking existing intercom systems with access control technology the companies can improve delivery efficiency without adding equipment in most cases. This partnership also shows a trend, in smart buildings—turning regular residential systems into secure platforms that support connected services.
For Japan’s property and logistics sectors, such systems could help reduce redelivery workloads while expanding contactless services in apartment buildings.
