AI Data Inc. has introduced Local AI, a framework built on its AI Kongming on IDX infrastructure to turn region-specific knowledge into intelligence assets. The approach, called the Local Industry Loop, kind of keeps a steady connection between data coming from local businesses, governments, universities, financial institutions and other regional players. Then AI kind of learns from what’s happening in local industries, technologies, culture, the on-the-ground expertise and usual business practices, so it can support things like manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, tourism, and even public administration.

The company says this framework actually fills in a gap, because general purpose AI usually doesn’t really have much context about local industries, or the networks around them. Local AI also tries to keep expert know-how intact, help spread what worked, and improve regional competitiveness, through ongoing human AI learning, which is, honestly, the main point.
