Hornetsecurity K.K., a subsidiary of Hornetsecurity by Proofpoint (Hanover, Germany), a provider of cloud-based cybersecurity solutions, launched ” 365 Total Backup ,” a backup solution for Microsoft 365 (hereinafter M365) environments. With this, Hornetsecurity adds a new security solution—data protection through backup—to its existing suite of email security products for M365, providing a comprehensive security enhancement solution for M365 environments.
The threat of ransomware attacks in recent years is a significant business risk that can no longer be ignored. According to research by Hornetsecurity, 24% of businesses worldwide will be affected by ransomware attacks by 2025, an increase for the first time in three years. In Japan, ransomware attacks have also been steadily increasing in recent years, with approximately one in two Japanese companies (45.8%) having experienced infection .
