KnowBe4 has signed a sales agency agreement with NTT Security Japan Corporation, and the plan is pretty straightforward. Use the NTT ecosystem to scale human-focused cybersecurity across Japanese enterprises.
The setup includes NTT DOCOMO Business, Inc. as a secondary agent, so this is not a small distribution play. It runs through the wider NTT Group network, which already has deep access to corporate customers across Japan.
What KnowBe4 brings in is its human risk management platform. That includes security awareness training and phishing simulation, which targets the part most companies still underestimate. Employees. The idea is not to replace technical defenses but to plug the gap where most attacks actually succeed.

The gap between two things continues to expand. The combination of generative AI technology with social engineering techniques and ransomware attacks has created more sophisticated and difficult-to-detect security threats. The effectiveness of standard security tools depends on their human element which serves as their fundamental limitation.
This is where the partnership leans in. NTT Security Japan brings cybersecurity expertise, NTT Docomo Business brings reach, and KnowBe4 brings the platform.
The main objective of this project can be described as a straightforward task. The project aims to decrease human mistakes which can lead to security breaches. The method uses basic techniques to achieve its goal of matching current methods used in modern cyber-attacks.
