Hitachi Solutions, Ltd. will begin offering Okta, Inc.’s “Okta Identity Security Posture Management” from February 17th. This service periodically visualizes NHI usage permissions and access status in addition to user IDs, reducing security risks even before authentication.
Companies are seeing a rapid increase in account-based security risks, such as accounts left unattended by former employees, misconfigurations, and automated system access by AI agents or service accounts. Okta ISPM regularly visualizes the permissions and access status of all accounts, analyzes whether they are being used appropriately, and prompts corrections when signs of misuse are detected. It consistently improves governance from pre- to post-authentication in accordance with the vulnerability countermeasures and access policy settings defined by the company.
Hitachi Solutions signed the first distributor agreement in Japan with Okta in 2018, and has since supported the introduction of Okta products to many companies, including the authentication infrastructure for the Hitachi Group’s approximately 480,000 users. Utilizing this know-how, the company aims to provide comprehensive consultations, including preventing misconfigurations that make users vulnerable to attacks, formulating rules, and building governance systems.
