Nekokari Co., Ltd., a systems development and IT consulting company, has signed an official distributor agreement with Headwind Computer Systems & Communication Equipment Software Design FZE. Following this agreement, Nekokari will begin selling licenses for Headwind MDM, an Android-only mobile device management solution, in Japan from December 24, 2025.
The timing is not accidental. As DX pushes deeper into real-world operations, Corporate Owned Single Use devices are becoming the norm. Think tablets fixed inside hotel rooms, self-order kiosks in retail stores, or handheld terminals used across logistics warehouses. These are not general office devices. They need stability, strict control, reliable kiosk mode, and predictable costs at scale. Feature-heavy office MDM tools often miss this mark.
Nekokari has already used Headwind MDM in its own development and operational projects. Through that hands-on use, the company validated its technical reliability and its strength in managing dedicated Android devices. The distributor agreement now allows Nekokari to provide licenses directly to companies in Japan, without friction.

The platform is available in two formats. The cloud version runs on Headwind’s infrastructure and can be used immediately, making it suitable for smaller deployments or pilot projects. The on premise version runs on customer managed servers or cloud environments such as AWS or GCP. Licensing is per server, not per device, which significantly lowers operating costs for deployments involving thousands of devices. It also supports closed networks and environments with strict security requirements.
Nekokari will focus on official license sales for both cloud and on premise versions, including Premium and Enterprise editions. The company will also offer separate implementation and construction support, covering server setup, initial configuration, and kiosk mode customization.
Looking ahead, Nekokari plans to go beyond license distribution. By combining its system development expertise with Headwind MDM, the company aims to build business applications, support integration with specialized Android hardware, and position Headwind MDM as a practical, purpose-built standard for Android device operations in Japan.
