Intelligent Wave Inc. has provided the threat intelligence platform “Recorded Future” to Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. Kyushu Electric Power has been working to establish an operational system using Recorded Future, and full-scale operation began in August 2025.
In recent years, cyber attacks targeting the infrastructure industry have been on the rise, and the industry is increasingly calling for stronger SOC (a specialized organization that detects, analyzes, and responds to cyber attacks) operations and “active cyber defense” that quickly identifies and responds to threats.
Kyushu Electric Power Company spends approximately 6,000 hours responding to over 12,000 alerts per year, and the burden of information collection and analysis work, as well as the “personalization” of response quality, which depended on the skills and experience of security analysts, were particularly problematic. Furthermore, the limited scope and means of collecting threat information also posed challenges.

Against this backdrop, Kyushu Electric Power implemented the threat intelligence platform “Recorded Future” to improve the efficiency of SOC operations and strengthen information gathering capabilities. This implementation was made possible after IWI conducted joint verification and evaluation with Qsol Inc., which handles Kyushu Electric Power‘s information security operations.
