NTT DOCOMO Business, Inc. will begin offering “Sekihi STORAGE”, a cloud storage service that uses secret sharing technology to distribute and store data at three geographically separated locations, from July 2, 2025.
This service will support BCP measures and the protection of sensitive data in various fields, including healthcare.
With the advancement of digital technology, highly confidential data such as customer information and product development information is being generated every day, and data has become an important asset that determines the business of companies. The amount of data stored by each company continues to increase, and there is a demand for large-scale storage that takes into consideration availability in the event of a major disaster and security measures such as ransomware countermeasures.
However, operating a large-scale storage in an on-premise environment requires a considerable amount of effort, such as managing physical equipment and procuring storage as capacity increases. Even when backing up data to a cloud environment, there is a risk of information leaks.
