Hitachi, Ltd. has joined NVIDIA’s Global System Integrator (GSI) program to meet the growing demand for AI solutions from customers around the world. This is the first time that a Hitachi Group company has joined the GSI program.
Hitachi will collaborate with NVIDIA to develop a roadmap of use cases and business solutions that leverage advanced technologies such as high-speed data processing and AI agents to meet the diverse AI transformation needs of customers. In addition, through joint go-to-market programs, the two companies will provide solutions that help more customers solve business problems through the rapid adoption of AI in key growth regions, including the United States and Japan. In addition, to support these implementations, Hitachi will utilize NVIDIA partner training programs to accelerate the development of human resources with advanced expertise in OT and key AI functions.
Since starting its collaboration with NVIDIA, Hitachi has launched an AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE) and has achieved various results toward the realization of physical AI. Hitachi Rail, which handles railway systems, is deploying the HMAX solution that utilizes NVIDIA software technology.

Main collaboration details
Through this collaboration, Hitachi will embark on the following new initiatives:
Through these collaborations with NVIDIA, Hitachi will continue to make a positive impact on society and contribute to a sustainable future using AI.
1. Drafting and promoting business plans to accelerate AI transformation
Hitachi will work with NVIDIA to establish joint business plans and growth strategies for the target market of industrial AI based on NVIDIA’s product and solution roadmap. Hitachi will also utilize NVIDIA AI Enterprise and NVIDIA Omniverse as solution development platforms to create innovative AI use cases.
For example, Hitachi Building Systems will promote the use of generative AI to realize efficient safety management in maintenance work for building facilities such as elevators. Using NVIDIA AI Blueprint for Video Search and Summarization (VSS), the AI will learn manuals and work procedures of experienced engineers, and will analyze footage from wearable cameras of on-site engineers in real time to provide guidance and alerts to the engineers, aiming to simultaneously improve work efficiency and safety and create a more comfortable work environment. Hitachi will also consider providing solutions to customers based on these efforts in the future.
2. Joint measures for go-to-market
Hitachi will develop and execute joint go-to-market initiatives for customers with NVIDIA, utilizing the latest know-how on NVIDIA’s products and solutions, marketing programs, training and webinars. In addition, Hitachi will participate in NVIDIA GTC, a global conference that paves the way for the future, to share and introduce customer success stories and new solutions and technologies.
3. Training and human resource development
In the expanding AI market, experienced engineers are essential, and Hitachi is promoting the development of more than 50,000 “GenAI Professionals” with advanced generative AI skills. As part of this, Hitachi will incorporate training programs to deepen practical expertise in technologies such as DGX Cloud, NVIDIA AI, and NVIDIA Omniverse provided by NVIDIA, and by developing OT and AI experts, it will strengthen the human resource base that will lead the industrial AI market.
