Needswell Inc. is pleased to announce that at the board of directors meeting held today, it was resolved to enter into a business alliance with Hmcomm Inc. in order to consolidate the AI technologies of both companies and secure an advantage in the field of AI solutions. The two companies have today concluded a business alliance agreement.
Hmcomm is a specialist in “sound x AI” that provides cutting-edge services based on the pillars of “voice recognition” and “abnormal sound detection.”
In the voice recognition business, we pursue the fusion of language and artificial intelligence to provide problem-solving solutions that enable people to communicate more naturally and efficiently, mainly in the contact center field. In the abnormal sound detection business, we analyze sounds generated during machine operation to prevent breakdowns and other problems and improve operating rates, and are active in a variety of industrial sectors.

We are also actively working on utilizing generative AI in the field of sound-related natural language processing.
Meanwhile, Needwell, as an independent system integrator, has been involved in software development in a wide range of industries, mainly in financial system development, and has provided various IT solutions that support the promotion of DX not only in companies but also in the public sector, while adding unique functions using technologies such as AI and RPA. In recent years, the company has been challenging the transformation of IT culture, such as working on the development and design of solutions using generative AI in collaboration with Nagasaki University.
With three consolidated subsidiaries under its umbrella, the company’s medium-term management plan, announced in August 2024, sets performance targets of 13 billion yen in sales and 1.7 billion yen in operating profit by the fiscal year ending September 2026.
