Konica Minolta Japan, Inc. has collaborated with Sophos to launch a new service, “IT-Guardians MDR Service”, in December 2025 as part of “IT-Guardians,” a service that provides comprehensive support for corporate IT services.
This will enable even small and medium-sized businesses with a shortage of IT personnel to use advanced security measures, including EDR, provided by Sophos, and build a robust security environment to protect important corporate data. For medium-sized and large companies, Sophos’ MDR (Managed Detection and Response) will be provided as a system engineering service, allowing for flexible implementation according to the size and needs of the company.
Konica Minolta Japan offers “IT-Guardians,” a service that comprehensively supports the IT environments of small and medium-sized enterprises. Up until now, the service has provided a wide range of support for IT operations at small and medium-sized enterprises that lack specialized personnel, by combining services such as the “UTM Service” for network intrusion prevention, the “IT Asset Management Service” for security policy audits, and the “Anti-Virus Service” for virus protection.

In recent years, cyber attacks such as ransomware have become more sophisticated, requiring not only prevention but also rapid detection and response. However, building such a system in-house requires IT specialists and a constant monitoring system, which currently places a heavy burden on many small and medium-sized enterprises.
Konica Minolta Japan has therefore teamed up with Sophos to launch a service that allows companies to constantly monitor cyber attacks by installing an app on their servers and all employees’ computers, thereby achieving a high level of security with peace of mind. With this service, companies can take advantage of continuous monitoring and rapid response from Sophos’ expert team to create a safer IT environment.
