Omron Ventures has invested in Salvador Technologies, a cybersecurity company specializing in rapid recovery of operational technology (OT) systems. The investment supports Omron’s GEMBA DX strategy, which aims to solve manufacturing challenges by combining device and on-site data.
As manufacturers connect IT and OT systems and expand cloud adoption, cyberattacks and system failures pose growing risks to production continuity. Salvador’s platform addresses this challenge through automated backups, backup integrity checks and rapid recovery of critical industrial systems, including human-machine interfaces and engineering workstations.
Its Cyber Recovery Unit can restart critical OT equipment using physically isolated, verified recovery copies. As industrial environments grow, the central backup and restore option on this platform.
