Cohesity, a brand recognized for its AI-led data security, made public the news of the partnership with Microsoft achieving significant milestones. The collaboration of both companies is to empower customers to be more resilient, quicker in recovery, and to have large-scale use of generative AI.
From August 2024 to July 2025 the business of both Cohesity and Microsoft saw a great increase during the fiscal year 2025 period. This is a good sign of how much the two are cooperating in the Cloud Microsoft platform to make breakthrough products and be successful together. The customer base for Cohesity increased with the use of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, GitHub, and the Microsoft Marketplace. Besides, the co-selling opportunities increased by over 10 times compared to the previous year.
Together, Cohesity and Microsoft are helping companies in healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail, and government to get AI-driven insights and keep their data secure. Right now, Cohesity protects over 13,000 customers worldwide. Almost 70 percent of the Fortune Global 500 rely on Cohesity for enterprise-grade data resilience and AI innovations that are integrated with Azure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Security.

Cohesity and Microsoft have a global go-to-market plan. It covers Japan, North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. They also have a strategic partnership agreement that runs for multiple years. This is all about innovating and pushing AI and data security solutions for customers together.
Sales through Microsoft Marketplace grew almost 200 percent. The number of co-sell opportunities has grown more than tenfold compared to the previous year. The two companies have been collaborating closely to enable more customers to use Microsoft’s Cloud and Cohesity’s solutions.
Cohesity is also changing how it works internally using Microsoft technologies like Azure OpenAI in Foundry Models, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender. These tools are helping Cohesity come up with new products and solutions that enterprise customers are already using.
There is no better example than the combination of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Cohesity Gaia. Gaia is an AI partner that assists by providing guided workflows, automated remediation, and compliance knowledge. Now it integrates with Azure OpenAI in Foundry Models and Copilot Studio. It is capable of performing natural language search, classification, and summarization for the legal, compliance, and security professionals.
A different case is represented by Cohesity DataProtect, threat protection, and SmartFiles within Microsoft Azure. The trio of solutions collaborate for data security, threat detection, and smart information management. They utilize services that are native to Azure for complete security coverage.
Bethany Children’s Health Center in Oklahoma worked with Cohesity and Microsoft to improve healthcare data security. They wanted to make sure patient care could continue without interruptions.
The adoption of Cohesity on the Azure platform provided the institution with an AI-based cybersecurity solution that not only identified irregularities but also prevented data infringements prior to their occurrence. Moreover, they have unalterable recovery points that have been scanned by AI in both Microsoft 365 and Azure, and thus, they are able to restore their systems rapidly in the event of a ransomware assault. Compliance and audit readiness got stronger too. They can classify PHI and PII, use HIPAA dashboards, and leverage Microsoft 365 Copilot for operations.
Cohesity has just enlarged its collaboration with Microsoft, with the hope of providing AI-led, cyber-resilient data management to reach customers even further. One of the steps forward in this direction is including cyber resilience for the most important Microsoft 365 applications and Azure, Entra ID, and Active Directory.
