Samsung Introduces SmartThings Now Platform Update

Samsung has announced new improvements coming to its Smart Things ecosystem, including new features of its Smart Things Now platform, a refined home tab, and a new feature for local device control. A new, personalized home card will update you on actions based on habits, device usage, and routines.

Actions include things like calling to check on loved ones or reminders to adjust connected appliances. New additions will also make devices more reliable without the internet, allowing devices to respond directly to other devices over the same Wi-Fi network (cutting response time by approximately 30 percent), along with new support for Matter 1.6, which adds additional device support for smart home platforms.
