NRI SecureTechnologies, Ltd. launched a migration support service to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to help companies and organizations make a smooth and safe transition from conventional cryptographic technologies used in their information systems to post-quantum cryptography.
The need to move to encryption technology that is difficult to crack even with quantum computers
With the development of quantum computers, it is possible that existing encryption techniques may be cracked in a short time in the future. To address this threat, PQC is attracting attention as a new encryption technique that is resistant to the processing power of quantum computers.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which leads the standardization of cryptographic technology, is working on the standardization of PQC, and the US government has set a target of transitioning to PQC by the mid-2030s. In Japan, the government and other organizations are considering how to respond to PQC, and have established the “Inter-Ministerial and Agency Liaison Conference on the Use of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) in Government Agencies and Other Organizations”. It is expected that the transition to PQC and its consideration will spread rapidly in various industries and organizations in the future.
