Terra Drone Co., Ltd. has signed a business agreement for sales cooperation with BizStation Co., Ltd., which develops the GNSS surveying equipment brand “Drogger” and other products. Based on this agreement, from June 16, 2025, we will start selling a set of Terra Drone’s high-precision handheld SLAM “Terra SLAM RTK” and BizStation’s GNSS surveying instrument “RZX.D”. By using “RZX.D” as a local reference station, the absolute accuracy of the point cloud data that can be obtained with “Terra SLAM RTK” will improve from within 5 cm when using network RTK to within 3 cm, enabling more accurate measurements.
Terra Drone’s “Terra SLAM RTK” is a lightweight and compact handheld SLAM that can easily obtain highly accurate 3D point cloud data with a relative accuracy of within 1 cm. It is used in a variety of locations, both indoors and outdoors, for creating floor plans and for use in ICT.
“Terra SLAM RTK” previously used network-based RTK to correct satellite positioning information such as GNSS, achieving absolute accuracy of within 5 cm. While network-based RTK is convenient because it does not require the installation of a GNSS surveying device on-site, depending on the communication environment, the reception of GNSS correction data can become unstable and correction errors due to distance can occur.

Taking this background into consideration, Terra Drone has begun selling a set of the Drogger brand GNSS surveying device “RZX.D” and “Terra SLAM RTK” developed by BizStation.
In addition to being able to operate as an Ntrip server on its own, the RZX.D can also use the relay server Drogger Ntrip Caster provided by BizStation to create a reference station through a dedicated tablet for Terra SLAM RTK. This makes it possible to perform GNSS corrections without using networked RTK. Furthermore, the RZX.D is compatible with three frequencies and has such high positioning accuracy and reliability that it has been registered as a Class 1 GNSS surveying device by the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan.
By installing the RZX.D on-site as a local reference station, it is possible to achieve stable measurements that are not affected by the communication environment, and it is also possible to reduce correction errors caused by distance. When using the RZX.D as a local reference station and measuring with Terra SLAM RTK, it has been shown that the absolute accuracy of the acquired point cloud data is improved to within 3 cm.
By using “Terra SLAM RTK” in conjunction with “RZX.D,” it is possible to obtain highly accurate point cloud data with a relative accuracy of within 1 cm and an absolute accuracy of within 3 cm, making it possible to handle site conditions that require even stricter as-built management and structural inspection, among other things.
