SysCloud Japan Co., Ltd. will officially release the backup and restore (recovery) function for Salesforce standard and custom objects and metadata on its cloud backup service “SysCloud” from Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
It combines efficient backup through API optimization and flexible restore functions to provide stronger support for corporate data protection and business continuity.
The need for backups in Salesforce operations
Salesforce uses a “shared responsibility model” as a cloud service, meaning that data protection and recovery are the responsibility of the user. In fact, Salesforce itself recommends using third-party backup tools to prepare for data loss.

In addition, Salesforce has a maximum retention period of 14 days for deleted data, after which the data will be completely erased and cannot be recovered.
In the face of these limitations, SysCloud automatically backs up Salesforce data every day, eliminating concerns about retention periods and recovery methods, protecting corporate information assets in the long term and strengthening preparations against the risk of data loss.
SysCloud Japan is the Japanese subsidiary of the US company SysCloud, and provides backup and security management solutions for major SaaS applications used in Japan.
By centrally managing backups of multiple SaaS apps and providing ransomware protection, support for ISMS (Information Security Management System) requirements, file monitoring, and compliance support functions, it ensures reliable data protection while reducing the burden on administrators.
