NTT East’s business network service “Multi Interconnect” will start connecting with AT TOKYO’s network platform “ATBeX”. This will be the first collaboration between the two companies in the data center and network service fields. Multi Interconnect is a business network service that supports various network constructions, such as the combined use of “FLET’S Hikari (best effort line)” and “Interconnected WAN (guaranteed bandwidth line)” and connection to public cloud services through exchange service providers (cloud interconnection). The cloud interconnection service will start connecting with AT TOKYO’s ATBeX, which provides closed-network connections with public cloud providers. This will enable users of NTT East’s network to connect to public clouds in closed-network and datacenter-to-datacenter connections with companies using ATBeX via ATBeX.
By providing access lines and public cloud connections required for closed-network connections to public clouds in one package, there will be no need to sign a contract for lines to bring datacenters in, reducing initial and running costs. In addition, NTT East’s Interconnected WAN equipment will be installed in AT TOKYO’s data center. By reducing the scope of new equipment construction, the time required to open the line will be shortened. This is the first step in the collaboration between data centers and network services.
