ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation will begin offering “CUVIC CP+,” an IT infrastructure that enables the coexistence of containers and virtual machines. As the first service, the company will provide a cloud-based service that builds and tests an environment similar to the customer’s operating environment. Customers can start using the service immediately without having to prepare an execution environment such as a container. Pricing starts at 750,000 yen per month (excluding tax), and the company aims to achieve sales of 2 billion yen over three years from this service and the production environment infrastructure that is scheduled to be released within this fiscal year.
In recent years, with the demand for speed and flexibility in application development and operation, cloud-native solutions are gaining momentum, using container technology to optimize business applications for the cloud. In addition, “hosted private clouds” that utilize domestic data centers are gaining attention, allowing for efficient use of resources while ensuring data preservation, security, privacy regulations, and governance.
This service, the first in the CUVIC CP+ series, builds a private cloud environment where containers and virtual machines can be used simultaneously on the same IT infrastructure, enabling system modernization verification. Because the cloud service provides an environment similar to the customer’s operating environment, customers do not need to prepare IT infrastructure such as hardware and middleware separately, allowing them to quickly begin verifying application operation and container management in the new environment. Furthermore, by creating management and operation scenarios for containers and virtual machines based on actual application operations, it becomes easier to understand the effectiveness of integrated operations and technical challenges, enabling gradual system modernization and infrastructure integration to proceed more realistically and with less risk.

We implement next-generation system operations using AI on a hosted private cloud that is as robust as an on-premise environment, and support the stable operation of systems that handle highly confidential data through predictive failure detection and prediction. Optional system migration support services are also available.
CTC developed this service by leveraging its more than 10 years of experience in operating hosted private clouds and its knowledge of IT infrastructure construction, including Red Hat OpenShift, cultivated through its cloud-native technology support service “C-Native.” Going forward, CTC will continue to expand its service menu, including providing production environments that allow for a small start and supporting migration from virtual machines to containers, in order to enable customers to smoothly transition to cloud-native.
